Privacy

This page explains which personal data this website processes, why, and which rights you have. We keep it short because the site is built to collect very little.

Who is responsible

The controller in the sense of the GDPR is the operator named in the imprint. You reach us at the email address given there.

The short version

  • You can use this site without an account. There is no registration, no comment function and no newsletter.
  • The public pages set no cookies.
  • We use no analytics service, no social media plugins and no fonts from other companies' servers. Ads from advertising networks are loaded only if you agree; see "Advertising" below.
  • We do not build user profiles and we do not sell data.

Server log files

When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to our server: your IP address, the date and time, the address you requested, the page you came from, and the name and version of your browser. The web server writes this to a log file.

We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, for example to find errors and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure operation of the site. We do not combine the logs with other data. They are deleted after [NUMBER] days at the latest, unless a security incident requires us to keep individual entries longer.

Hosting

The site runs on a server rented from [NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE HOSTING PROVIDER], located in [COUNTRY OF THE DATA CENTRE]. The provider processes the data described above on our behalf under a data processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR.

The 18+ notice

On your first visit we show a notice that this site is for adults. When you confirm it, your browser stores a small marker in its local storage so the notice is not shown again. The marker contains no identifier, never leaves your browser and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by deleting the site data in your browser settings. Storing it is necessary to provide the function you asked for (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Search

The words you type into the search field are sent to our server to produce the result list. We do not store them with your IP address and do not evaluate who searched for what.

Links to other websites and referral links

This site consists of links to other websites. When you click "Visit" you are first sent through a short address on our site and then on to the other website.

  • We count how often each listed site is clicked, per day. We store only that number. We do not store your IP address, a cookie or any other identifier with it.
  • Some links are referral links. They contain a code that tells the other website that the visitor came from us. The code identifies us, not you.
  • Once you are on the other website, its operator is responsible for what happens to your data, and its privacy policy applies. Such sites may set cookies and may be able to see that you came from our site. We have no influence on that.

Advertising

This site shows advertising, always marked as "Advertisement".

  • Our own banners are images stored on our server. Showing them sends no data to anyone else. When you click one, you are sent through a short address on our site to the advertiser. We count the click as a plain number and store nothing about you. From then on the advertiser's privacy policy applies.
  • Ads from advertising networks work differently: they are loaded from the network's servers, which then receive your IP address and may set cookies or use similar techniques to recognise your browser and measure or personalise advertising. We load such ads only after you have agreed in the notice shown on the page (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). Until then the network's code stays switched off and no connection to the network is made. Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage and is not sent to us. You can change it at any time through "Ad settings" at the bottom of a page that carries such ads, or by deleting the site data in your browser.

The administration area

The operator signs in to an administration area. Only there a session cookie is used. Visitors never see this area.

Contacting us

If you write to us by email, we process your message and your address in order to answer you (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, or Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR where the law obliges us to handle a report). We delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for access to your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or its processing restricted (Art. 18), and to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20). You may object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21). To use these rights, write to the address in the imprint.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the one at your place of residence or at our place of business.

Children and young people

This site is meant for adults only. We do not knowingly process data of minors.

Changes

We update this page when the site or the law changes. The current version is always the one published here.
